It's fascinating to me how Blue Jays fans generally aren't freaking out about Bo Bichette not being signed past this season.
Fans have clearly made a point of voicing their opinion online that they are definitely worried that a deal has not been made yet which is why Seixeiro's comment is questionable.
At the same time, Seixeiro is right that it is worrying that the Blue Jays have yet to begin any sort of negotiations with Bichette as he has been one of their best players this season.
The Blue Jays need to find a way to get a deal done with Bichette because trying to replace him will not be an easy task especially with all the top free agents they have missed out on in the past few years.
Bichette has certainly had an incredible bounce back year in 2025 as he currently has 16 homeruns, 83 RBIs, a .304 batting average and .348 on base percentage in 128 games.
While signing Bichette needs to be a priority for the Blue Jays this off-season, it is understandable that their focus is elsewhere as the playoffs approach rapidly.
