The Toronto Blue Jays have an incredible amount of big contracts to deal with this off-season but newly acquired infielder Ty France is far from the top of the list.

One of the biggest names that the Blue Jays are looking to bring back this off-season is Shane Bieber who will likely decline his player option and is expected to sign a deal worth around $145 million.

Ty France expected to leave the Blue Jays in the off-season

The Blue Jays acquired France at the trade deadline as part of the deal that brought in Louis Varland from the Minnesota Twins and since being acquired, France has been actually playing surprisingly well.
As of right now, France has a .325 batting average with 1 homerun, 8 RBIs and a .372 on base percentage all in 29 games with the Blue Jays.
"Acquired from the Minnesota Twins, along with relief pitcher Louis Varland, ahead of the trade deadline, he has been an important bench piece for the Blue Jays. His numbers at the plate have been through the roof, producing a .325/.372/.442 slash line with an OPS+ of 123. He has one home run and six doubles in only 77 at-bats." -Teape

According to a recent report, Joel Reuters believes that France will end up landing with the Colorado Rockies in the off-season as it would be the perfect fit for him.
"Over at Bleacher Report, Joel Reuter has made predictions about how every lineup in the MLB will look on Opening Day in 2026. France wasn't going to be in the Toronto lineup even if he had remained, excelling as a bench piece. But, he is expected to move on, landing with the Colorado Rockies." Teape

France has been far more impactful for the Blue Jays than anyone thought he would be and since Toronto does not have a starting job available for him, Colorado does and they would likely be willing to take a chance on him.
The Blue Jays bench players such as France have been a big part of the lineup this season but trying to keep all of them for the 2026 season will be impossible.
While Colorado is not a top destination in the MLB due to their small fan base and low rating the last few years, this would be a great situation for France.
