The Toronto Blue Jays had their winter meetings come and go, and still there isn't a new deal forBo Bichette which is why the team is looking at possible replacements.

Andres Gimenez filled in for Bichette all throughout the playoffs while he was injured, and even when Bichette returned he was at second, while Gimenez kept the shortstop position due to how well he was playing

Andres Gimenez will have no issues taking Bichette's spot at shortstop for the Blue Jays.

Peter Chawaga of Forbes reported on the potential change at shortstop for the Blue Jays next season, the longer Bichette goes unsigned, the more it makes people worry that he will not be returning. And while Gimenez isn't as good at the plate as Bichette, he is a much better shortstop defensively than him.
"As the Jays wait on Bichette and other top free agents to sign, (Andres) Gimenez is preparing to play whatever middle infield position the Jays require. He's preparing as if he could play both,' Atkins said. 'Which means, from a mindset standpoint, he's thinking more about shortstop at this point."-Ross Atkins

Even if Bichette does re-sign and return to the Blue Jays, there is a high chance he is moved to second base, and Gimenez will stay at short. This would obviously be the best of both worlds, as shortstop is the most important position in the infield. And you keep Bichette's hitting ability as well.
"Now Gimenez is focused on taking over the shortstop position as the team wants him to be ready to replace Bichette at shortstop, possibly because the free agent never returns to the team at all or because if he does come back, it might be at a new position."-Chawaga

If by chance the Blue Jays fail to sign Bo Bichette, there shouldn't be any panic, especially if they sign Kyle Tucker instead. You'll get all the hitting prowess that Bichette brought in Tucker, who's also a solid outfielder, and you'll get an upgrade at the shortstop position. And if they do re-sign him, then you have the same scenario just in the infield instead of the outfield.
The one move they will have to make is bringing in a new infielder but that should not be too difficult.
