The Toronto Blue Jays are joining the top of the food chain in the MLB, demonstrating their ability to win and to pay with the biggest agent in the sport, Scott Boras noticing.

Toronto has become a new desirable destination for free agents, because free agents care about two things: winning and getting paid which is two things Toronto is now offering.

MLB's super agent Scott Boras recognizes Blue Jays as top destination.

Michael Brauner of Blue Jays SI reported on the change in attitude toward the Blue Jays, not just from free agents, but the agents themselves.
Boras who represents all the biggest names in the sport, declared the Blue Jays are not same organization they were a few years ago and are now one of the top destination for players.
"Now though, it's been proven you can win in Toronto, and given the market size, perhaps this is the offseason for the organization to land their big fish. Recent comments at the GM meetings this week from super agent Scott Boras show that those who make the calls in free agency have taken notice."-Brauner

The proof of these changes is in all the free agents who's names are now linked with the Blue Jays as potential signings such as Kyle Tucker, Ranger Suarez, Dylan Cease all being linked to the Blue Jays, something different is happening.
"Toronto is one of the top four or five major markets in the major leagues, and I think we'll see the ownership commitment and every bit of behavior to support and advance that. When you become a winning club, players take notice...I think everything about what they've done in the past couple years has proven to reward them with that placement in the player community to say 'Toronto is a winning franchise and I would strongly consider being part of it."-Boras

When the sport's biggest agent has all that to say about your team, the Blue Jays will have their pick of the litter for the foreseeable future. It goes to show the work both Mark Shapiro and Ross Atkins have put in to build this kind of reputation, whereas 4 years ago, the narrative was completely different. It will be interesting to see if this new feeling toward the Blue Jays bears any fruit in free agency.
