The Red Sox announced earlier this week that they decided to part ways with Sanchez as they DFA'd him to make room on their roster for Nate Eaton and Nathaniel Lowe.

The Mets announced that they have agreed to a minor league deal with former Blue Jays catcher, as Sanchez will likely be headed to their Triple-A to begin his time with the organization.

, the Mets are signing catcher Ali Sánchez to a minor league deal.

Sánchez has played for the Blue Jays and Red Sox this season, and played in five games with the Mets in 2020.
The Mets and catcher Ali Sanchez are in agreement on a minor-league deal, league sources said.
This is not the first time Sanchez will be part of the Mets organization as he spent time there during the 2020 season in which he played 5 games but only recorded 1 hit in 9 at bats.
Some Blue Jays fans were hoping Toronto would look to bring him back since he added some much needed catcher depth in the organization and played well when he was called up.
In 8 games with the Blue Jays this season, Sanchez had 5 hits in 21 at bats with a .238 batting average and .238 on base percentage.
Hopefully Sanchez will be able to find a permanent place with the Mets for the rest of the season as he is now on his third team in 2025.
