Zach Pop Elects Free Agency
Roster moves:
Zach Pop, RHP, cleared waivers and elected free agency.
Zach pop cleared waivers and is a free agent.
The fact that
Pop was not picked up by another team does not come as much of a surprise since he currently has a 13.50 ERA in 4 games this season with a 2.25 WHIP and 3 strikeouts.
Pop has been trying to find a way back to the pitcher he was back in 2022 when he finished with a 2.77 ERA in 39 innings pitched between the Toronto Blue Jays and Miami Marlins.
Unfortunately for
Pop, he will likely not be able to land a major league deal with the numbers he has put up this season and will surely need to sign a minor league deal if he wants to continue playing.
Hopefully Pop will somehow find a way to land himself a new contract but it will certainly not be easy and he will have a lot to prove if he is given another chance.
