The Toronto Blue Jays have announced a few roster moves ahead of their game against the Kansas City Royals as George Springer is headed for IL and Daulton Varsho is making his return.
Blue Jays placed George Spring on IL and have Daulton Varsho back
Toronto announced great news that Varsho is finally back in the lineup for the Blue Jays after being out for quite some time with a quad injury.
Unfortunately, they also announced some terrible news as Springer is headed for 7-day IL with a concussion from when he was hit with a fastball to the head against the Orioles.
ROSTER MOVES:
OF Daulton Varsho reinstated from the 10-day IL and will be active tonight
RHP Louis Varland and 1B Ty France have reported to the team and will be active tonight
OF George Springer (concussion) placed on 7-day IL, retroactive to July 29
The Blue Jays also announced that newly acquired players Ty France and Louis Varland will be active for the game tonight against the Royals while Paxton Schultz has been optioned to Triple-A.
Daulton Varsho is back from the injured list, but George Springer placed on the seven-day concussion IL retroactive to July 29.
Reliever Louis Varland and 1B Ty France are here and active, with righty Paxton Schultz optioned to triple-A Buffalo.
