Alek Manoah threw 45 pitches in a sim game Saturday and will throw one more game in Florida (likely a real game with Dunedin) before he potentially moves up to continue his rehab. #BlueJays
Having Manoah pitching at 95 MPH is a huge step in the right direction for the Blue Jays who are hoping that when he returns they will be getting back the pitcher he was during the 2022 season.
If Manoah is fully healthy, the Blue Jays will need to figure out if they want to go after another starting pitcher at the trade deadline or if they feel safe with adding him to the rotation for the playoffs.
The tough part in all of this is that Manoah will only be ready after the trade deadline.
