Blue Jays announce update on pitcher Alek Manoah
News broke this afternoon that
Manoah is expected to pitch a sim game on Saturday in Dunedin because the Single-A team is currently on the road and the Blue Jays will be able to control his pitch count better this way.
Alek Manoah's next step is a sim game Saturday, mainly because Single-A Dunedin is on the road and they can control his pitch count this way.
Still feels like Manoah is on track to be built all the way back up by late August or soon after. #BlueJays
Alek Manoah (Tommy John) will throw a simulated game in Dunedin on Saturday.
Dunedin Blue Jays are on the road and club wants to better control his pitch count.
From the look of things, Manoah should be able to make the jump to Triple-A in the coming weeks which means his return to the mound for Toronto should still be on target for August.
Manoah's return will certainly make things interesting for the Blue Jays starting rotation since they plan on acquiring a new pitcher which will put them to a total of six with him back.
Fans are still uncertain on if Manoah will ever be able to return to the pitcher he once was after a rough few years but many are hopeful as it would be the perfect timing if he can get back to being the ace he once was.
