The Toronto Blue Jays will apparently be moving newly signed Anthony Santander to a new position to start the season according to new report from MLB network.
MLB Network announces Anthony Santander will be playing left field for the Blue Jays this season
Despite all the rumors, the MLB Network stated yesterday that Santander will be moving from right field which is his usual position over to left field to start off the 20025 season.

#MLBTonight breaks down the move and Toronto's production out of that position in 2024.
The Blue Jays decided to move him over to left field as they have George Springer as their current right fielder and Daulton Varsho as they centerfielder even though he will be out to start the season.
Now that fans know where Santander will be playing, everyone is wondering who will replace Varsho to start the year with the leader being Joey Loperfido for the moment who seems to have made some great hitting progressions throughout the off-season.
The Blue Jays seem to have big plans for Santander this season as he is by far their biggest acquisition and adding him to their offense will be huge but many overlook his defense which is also a solid addition.
Many do not believe that he will be able to follow up his numbers from last season with 44 homeruns and 102 RBIs but he has been consistently hitting well over the last 3 season so it would be a big surprise if he declined in 2025.
