The Toronto Blue Jays could look at a reunion with Alek Manoah

Former Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Alek Manoah was let go by the Atlanta Braves on Thursday night and he could possibly be headed back to Toronto.
The Braves announced a couple days ago that they decided to part ways with Manoah as he was non-tendered and for the first time in his career, a free agent.
The #Braves today declined to tender contracts for the 2026 season to RHP Alek Manoah and RHP Carson Ragsdale.
Blue Jays and Alek Manoah could be reuniting
The move by the Braves came as a bit of surprise since they claimed Manoah of waivers from the Blue Jays in late September right before the end of the season then ended up letting him go before ever pitching for them or one of their minor league teams.
While the Blue Jays are looking for some big time pitchers to add to their roster this off-season, Manoah could be a solid back up option even if it is to just add some depth.

Fans have pointed out how the Blue Jays know Manoah very well and his capabilities so mixing that with the low price they could probably bring him back for, it might not be such a bad move.

On the other side of things, the Blue Jays did give Manoah plenty of time to figure things out as he has struggled quite a bit over the last few years and after all that they still decided to let him go which is probably because they did not believe he would get better.
It will be interesting to see if the Blue Jays end up giving him another chance this winter.
