The Toronto Blue Jays have announced the list of non-roster players invited to Spring Training
The Toronto Blue Jays have officially announced that they have invited 16 non-roster players to Spring Training this year which will begin in less than a month.
The off-season is coming to a close but the Blue Jays are still pushing to land some big names such as Pete Alonso and Mark Scherzer who seem to be approaching a deal with the Blue Jays.

The Blue Jays announced that 16 non-roster players will be invited to Spring Training in a few weeks which is set to kick off on February 18th but catchers and pitchers must reports on February 12th.
This list includes some very familiar names such as Lazaro Estrada, Phil Clarke, Jacob Sharp, Charles McAdoo, Alan Roden and Myles Straw who will be making over $6 million this year but does not have a roster spot.

MLB insider Keegan Matheson believes that Alan Roden is the player that has the best chance of standing out during Spring Training from the non-roster players invited.

The majority of these players do not have a chance of seeing any time in the majors this season but a few such as Roden and Phil Clarke could eventually get called up depending on how they do.
