While the Toronto Blue Jays have secured Vladimir Guerrero Jr. with an extension, removing him from any trade speculation, there are still a few big-name players on the roster who could potentially be moved before the deadline.

MLB writer Zachary D. Rymer says that Bo Bichette and Chris Bassitt's strong start to the season has boosted their stock value for the Blue Jays.

Dylan Sanders from the Toronto Blue Jays On Si writes that with Guerrero now extended, it would seem logical to lock up the other young star on the roster, but that may not be in the plans. If Bo Bichette is traded at the deadline, he'd likely be the top position player on the market and could net the Blue Jays a strong return in the process.
"His 2024 was concering, though, as he posted just a .225/.277/.322 slash line with four home runs in 81 games. He has been included in trade rumors for a while, but they could have been waiting for his stock to go back up. That's exactly what he has done this season and he still even has room to grow." -Sanders

So far this season, Bo Bichette is slashing .298/.339/.375 with 13 RBIs. While he hasn't hit a home run yet, he's still posting a solid 109 OPS+, showing he's been an above-average contributor at the plate.
"The 27-year-old rarely strikes out, but is also still a bit aggressive at the plate. He has a low walk rate and a very high chase rate, leading to some bad contact." -Sanders

The other player that has been playing well so far this season is Chris Bassitt. He has unquestionably been the Blue Jays' top pitcher so far, boasting a 1.88 ERA across five starts and leading the league with an impressive 1.49 FIP.
"With him, it might be smart to move him even before the deadline as it is unclear how long this production will last. He hasn't been a bad starter for the last few years, but nothing near this level." -Sanders

Sanders also writes that Bassitt's biggest asset this season has been his pinpoint location. Despite no major changes to his pitch mix and a continued decline in velocity, he's still delivering outstanding results on the mound.
If the Blue Jays aren't looking like serious contenders as the season progresses, it might not be the worst idea to consider shopping Bichette and Bassitt. We'll have to wait and see!
