The Blue Jays got away to an early lead against the Rays this afetrnoon as they came out of the gate strong as Alejandro Kirk gave the Blue Jays an early lead with a grand slam to take a 5-1 lead.
Alejandro Kirk delivers the second grand slam in four days for the Blue Jays, giving them a 5-1 lead in the first, full house at dome roars, and Kevin Gausman follows with a tidy shutdown T2.
Things began to fall apart after that as the Rays fought back to bring the lead down to 5-4.
The last 20 minutes have been absolutely ridiculous.
Orioles took the lead from the Yankees. Tigers took the lead from the Red Sox. Rangers took the lead from the Guardians. Rays cut a 5-1 deficit against the Jays to 5-4. Brewers halved the Reds' lead to 2-1.
The Blue Jays ended up getting it together after that as they rallied and put up a ton more runs as they ended up winning 13-4 and winning the division.
Due to this massive win, the Blue Jays will now have a bye for the Wild Card round and are officially headed to the American League Division Series
