The Toronto Blue Jays need to improve their outfield, especially in left field which is why their are interested in trading for Los Angeles Angels Taylor Ward.
The Blue Jays are looking to improve in left field prior to the trade deadline if they end up being buyers and making a playoff push which is why Ward would be a great option.

The Blue Jays need to find a solid option in left field since as of right now Alan Roden is the player with the most starts but he is currently in the minors after a tough start to the season.

According to reports, the Blue Jays would be a perfect fit for Angels left fielder Taylor Ward as he has one year left of arbitration and the Angels are apparently trying to trade him.
The most intriguing name on the market for the Blue Jays is Los Angeles Angels outfielder Taylor Ward. Ward has just one year left of arbitration, and the Angels are looking to move off the veteran outfielder. -Sullivan
At this point many believe that the Angels will have Ward on the trading block at this year's trade deadline as he was on the trading block last season as well but did not end up getting moved.
Since Ward is off to a solid start this season with 10 homeruns and 22 RBIs, the Angels will likely want a decent return for him but this should not hold the Blue Jays back since they is exactly the type of player they need.
Acquiring him will come down to if they end up being buyers or sellers at the trade deadline later this season.
