The Toronto Blue Jays have been without veteran outfielder George Springer for a few games now but that have finally announced an update on his concussion.

The Blue Jays placed Springer on 7 day IL last week with a concussion after getting hit in the head with a fastball against the Baltimore Orioles.

Blue Jays announce update on George Springer's concussion

Springer has been phenomenal for the Blue jays this season especially after his disaster of a season last year which is why his success was so unexpected this season but many are now considering his the team MVP for 2025.
The Blue Jays announced that Springer is working his way back from his concussion and has already began taking batting practice which is a good sign for possibly a return to the lineup shortly.
A few #BlueJays injury updates:

- Kirk felt good after catching 7 innings last night, will DH tonight with Buffalo and should return to Jays Sunday

- Springer is still feeling better. Hit BP today. Best case, he comes back Tuesday in Colorado
If everything continues to go well for Springer and his concussion, he will be eligible to return to the Blue Jays lineup tomorrow night against the Rockies but that all depends on how he feels.
In 2025, Springer has put up some impressive numbers at the plate with 18 homeruns, 57 RBIs, a .291 batting average and .383 on base percentage in 101 games.
As the Blue Jays continue to struggle, they need to get Springer back as quickly as possible as he is a massive part of their lineup and the reason they are currently in first place in the AL East.
