The Toronto Blue Jays announced their first roster move of the off-season which involved pitcher Robinson Pina.

There has been a lot of rumors floating around regarding the Blue Jays and their off-season plans, especially surrounding Bo Bichette but there has not been a move just yet.

Blue Jays outright pitcher Robinson Pena

Many teams across the MLB have already began making some big moves this off-season but the Blue Jays are still getting settling in with their first big move coming last night as Shane Bieber accepted his player option.
This evening was another big first step for the Blue Jays off-season as they made their first roster move as Pina was outright sent to the Buffalo Bisons in Triple-A.
The Blue Jays acquired Pina back in late June as they acquired him in a trade with the Miami Marlins in exchange for RHP Colby Martin.
The 26 year old pitcher end up only pitching 2.1 innings for the Blue Jays this season in which he finished with a 7.71 ERA, 2.57 WHIP and 1 strikeout.
While this is the first roster move of the Blue Jays off-season it is far from the last or the biggest as Ross Atkins has quite a bit of work in front of him over the next few months.
The Blue Jays have a lot of big needs this off-season especially when it comes to pitchers as they have many such as Chris Bassitt, Max Scherzer and other that were on expiring deals this past season.
It will be interesting to see what kind of moves Atkins make in the coming days and weeks once the off-season gets fully rolling for Toronto.
