The Toronto Blue Jays main priority this off-season is signing Bo Bichette to a new deal which will apparently surpass $200 million.

Bichette is not the only player the Blue Jays are looking to re-sign as they are apparently looking at possibly making Chris Bassitt an offer as well.

Bo Bichette expected to land $216 million in free agency

Bichette is among the best free agents available along with with Dylan Cease and Kyle Tucker as all three are expected to land a contract of around $200 million or more.
In a recent report from NBC Sports, Michael Pouliot stated that he expected to land an 8 year deal worth $216 million this season.
Prediction: eight years, $216 million

Pouliot also believes that Tucker, who is the best free agent available will land a deal of 9 years worth $360 million.
Prediction: nine years, $360 million

Pouliot is not the only one who believes that Bichette will be able to land over $200 million as Tim Britton stated that it would be an 8 year deal as well but with a total of $212 million.
Will Bo Bichette stay in Toronto?

MLB insider

projects Bichette to command an 8 year $212M contract.

Which team will Bichette play for in 2026?
Clearly Bichette will be landing a big long term deal and the Blue Jays might get slight discount if they end up signing him but they will certainly have to be very close to the $200 million mark.
While Bichette did struggle in 2024, he led the MLB for most hits for the majority of the season finishing with 181 to go along with 18 home runs, 94 RBIs, a .311 batting average and .357 on base percentage.
If the Blue Jays are not willing to go that high on an extension with Bichette and end up losing him to free agency, they will certainly have to find a big time player to replace him.
