The Toronto Blue Jays still have a few days until they need to settle their roster for the ALDS but a significant update was just announced regarding their starting rotation.

The Blue Jays have until Saturday morning at 10 AM to fully decide on the 26 man roster they will be taking with them to the ALDS.

Update on Blue Jays starting rotation for ALDS

There has yet to be a confirmation on who will be pitching for the Blue Jays in the ALDS but there seems to be a good chance that ace Kevin Gausman will be getting the ball for game 1.
"Blue Jays ace Kevin Gausman will be the presumptive starter for Game 1 of the ALDS on Saturday, prompting questions about who will follow in the rotation." -TSN

As for game 2, it looks like rookie sensation Trey Yesavage will likely be getting the ball as he has impressed everyone quite a bit since being called up in the final weeks of the season.
"Rookie starter Trey Yesavage has impressed in his short major-league stint, going 1-0 with a 3.21 ERA and 16 strikeouts over 14.0 innings. With a best-of-five series on tap in the Division Series, Olney believes Yesavage could be the x-factor the Blue Jays need to get to the ALCS for the first time since 2016." -TSN

Insider Buster Olney stated that there is a good chance that Yesavage can be the biggest Wild Card of the post-season as no one really knows him and his splitter can be a game changer.
«Yesavage could be one of the great wildcards in this postseason series because nobody knows him. All we've seen out of him is a guy who has a great mound presence and great stuff,» Olney said. «The great splitter that no one has grown accustomed to. I think that if you're the Blue Jays, you want to keep him in as comfortable a setting as possible.» -Olney

After the first two games, the Blue Jays will certainly have a big decision to make as both Max Scherzer and Chris Bassitt struggled quite a bit to end the season.
Bassitt would likely be the safer option at this point but he is also coming back from injury which makes him a risk as well.
