The Toronto Blue Jays announce an update regarding their American League Division Series roster as the deadline is Saturday.

MLB insider Jeff Passan recently stated that the Blue Jays actually have a real good chance of winning the World Series this year if they can stay healthy.

Blue Jays update regarding ALDS roster

The Blue Jays have the next few days off but they will still be practicing quite a bit as they get ready for the ALDS on Saturday which will be between the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees.
The main focus now will be the Blue Jays roster which they have until Saturday morning at 10 AM Eastern time to decide on for their series which begins later that day.
"The next few days will include workouts at Rogers Centre ahead of Saturday's ALDS opener - and plenty of questions about who will make the Blue Jays' playoff roster. The specifics don't have to be finalized until Saturday morning at 10 a.m. ET and will depend on a variety of factors, including health and opponent." -Davidi

The Blue Jays will be allowed to roster 26 players which a maximum of 13 pitchers but that can be changed every series and if a player is put on IL during the series, they will be ineligible for the following series.
"Each team gets 26 roster spots, with a maximum of 13 pitchers allowed and rosters can be reset for each series. That's a reduction of two from this past weekend, when teams closed out the regular season with expanded 28-man rosters and up to 14 pitchers. Notable, given the Blue Jays' injuries, is that a player subbed out during a post-season series due to injury is ineligible to appear in the next round, so there's risk in rushing someone back." -Davidi

It will be interesting to see who the Blue Jays end up with on their roster come the ALDS series as they have a few questionable players on their roster right now.
The biggest question mark surround starting pitcher Scherzer as he has been struggling quite a bit to finish the season and could end up being a huge problem for them in the playoffs.
