Toronto Blue Jays blockbuster 3-player trade offer announced

MLB insider Jon Heyman recently stated that he does not believe a trade between the two teams for Marte makes much sense but that does not mean everyone else agrees.

A recent proposal stated that the Blue Jays should look to send top prospects Ricky Tiedemann and right handed pitcher Jake Bloss to Arizona in return for Marte.

While this deal makes a lot of sense for both teams since the Blue Jays would be getting a great infielder and Diamondbacks would be landing two solid prospects, there is also a lot more to it.

The Blue Jays will need to figure out what is happening with Bichette before making a move on Marte since if they end up with both, they will be forced to move someone over the third base.

As Toronto waits on Bichette to make a decision, other teams are still going after Marte which does not help their case if they are truly serious about trying to trade for him.

Last season Marte finished with 28 home runs and 72 RBIs in 126 games with a .283 batting average which would certainly help fill the hole if Bichette decided to leave.

The return and deal seem fair but Toronto clearly needs to hold up a bit and make sure Marte is the player they need before making an official offer.
