The Toronto Blue Jays have the next few days off as they patiently wait to see if they will get Bo Bichette back for game 1 but it does not look promising after latest update.

Bichette recently spoke to the media about how he has been feeling and stated that there is no timetable for his return but that he is pushing to be ready for game 1.

Injury update on Bo Bichette announced

The Blue Jays will certainly benefit from getting Bichette back in the lineup but since he is still only working on his swinging it certainly does not look like he will be ready for game 1.
Buster Olney also stated that there is a good chance that Bichette might miss the entire series and would only be ready in time for the American League Championship Series.
«The Blue Jays have really kept the medical stuff locked down. I don't think he's going to play in the ALDS. It's unlikely we're going to see him this weekend,» said Olney on TSN Radio.»He's going to give it a go this week and see how he feels. I think it's more likely that if the Jays advance, we'll see him in the ALCS.» -Onley

Bichette is still recovering from his knee injury that took place back in early September and due to the slow pace of his recovery process, he might not be ready in time for this series.
Manager John Schneider also added that Bichette has yet to start running which is why his chances for Saturday are still very slim but he has been hitting and throwing.
John Schneider says that Bo Bichette has not started running yet, «hopefully soon»

Until Bichette runs, it's still hard to put any sort of timeline on this. Hitting on the field and throwing are great, but they don't test his knee nearly as much as running. #BlueJays
The Blue Jays have been playing well without Bichette in their lineup and it looks like they will need to tap into that for a little longer.
In 2025, Bichette had an incredible season in 2025 as he finished with 18 homeruns, 94 RBIs and finished second in AL hitting with 181 only behind Kansas City Royals Bobby Witt Jr.
"Bichette, 27, finished his season hitting .311 with 18 home runs and 94 RBI. He led the American League in hits while in the lineup and finished the season second in the AL with 181, trailing only Kansas City Royals superstar Bobby Witt Jr. (184)." -TSN

Hopefully Olney is incorrect when it comes to Bichette' return but with only a few days left before the ALDS, it certainly will not be easy to get him back in time.
