The Toronto Blue Jays have been doing just fine with star shortstop Bo Bichette, they have a commanding 2-0 series lead over the New York Yankees, but they might have to get accustomed to not having Bichette in the lineup for longer than expected.

People have noticed he doesn't seem near ready to return to action, judging by what they see in the dugout.

Bo Bichette might take longer than expected for Toronto Blue Jays.

Colton Pankiw of BlogTO reported that fans and the Toronto Blue Jays should get used to not seeing Bichette for sometime. It has been pointed out that he isn't walking too well when the camera pans on him in the dugout. MLB insider Ken Rosenthal noticed it first.
""In my opinion, [the Blue Jays] have to be concerned. It's not so much what I'm hearing, but what I'm seeing being by their dugout. He is not walking like a guy who is fully healthy. He's got a bit of a limp. To my knowledge, he has not begun running yet. It doesn't seem to me that he's all that close."-Rosenthal

This couldn't come at a worse time for both the Blue Jays and for Bichette, he is up for a contract extension following this season, and not participating in the playoffs could really hurt his value. And the Blue Jays need his consistent hitting if they are to succeed going forward.
"The other piece of good news for the Blue Jays is that the ALCS is set to begin on Sunday, meaning Bichette still has several days to try and get better for a return, whether it be for Game 1 or perhaps later in the series. That said, there seems to be a legitimate chance that he may not return even if the Jays can advance."-Pankiw

The Toronto Blue Jays will be looking to close out the Yankees tonight in game 3, and allow everyone to rest up before the ALCS gets underway.
