The Toronto Blue Jays have had a tough award season after multiple players and coaches lost despite being nominated but finally David Popkins has won.
Manager John Schneider who most thought would win AL Manager of the year ended up being a finalist but fell just short of winning the award last month.

Popkins is regarded by many across the league as the best hitting coach in baseball which was on full display this season when he took players like George Springer and brought that back to dominating at the plate.

The Blue Jays coaching staff did an excellent job this season and finally they receive some recognition for their efforts this season which led to Toronto first World Series appearance in over 30 years.
While the Popkins hire flew a bit under the radar last season, it was clearly one of if not the biggest move of the Blue Jays off-season in 2025 as it played a huge role in their offense this past season.
Hopefully the Blue Jays will continue to work hard with Popkins this season and improve their offense even more as the AL East continues to grow stronger.
