The Toronto Blue Jays walked away with the win against the Los Angeles Dodgers this afternoon but that did not stop from fans going after Jeff Hoffman online.
Hoffman has had a weird 2025 season filled with some very big high, followed by some extremely big lows and despite playing better lately, he struggled against the Dodgers this afternoon.
Blue Jays fans are not happy with Jeff Hoffman
Hoffman only pitched 0.2 innings in the game in which he didn't give up a single hit but also managed to walk a total of five batters before finally being replaced by Mason Fluharty.
Jeff Hoffman is the first pitcher since at least 1901 to surrender at least 5+ walks in less than an inning of work and get credited with a win
Blue Jays fans got online rather quickly after the game to blast Hoffman on his performance stating that his struggles were brutal and could have resulted in another loss.
Why on EARTH was Jeff Hoffman left in the game that long?!
The guy threw 33 pitches and had only 10 strikes

Blue Jays leaving Jeff Hoffman in this long is one of the crazier bullpen decision I've seen this year.
While Hoffman's performance in Los Angeles was awful, he has been playing a lot better lately as he currently has a 2.70 ERA in his last 7 games across 6.2 innings pitched with 7 strikeouts.
However, over the entire season Hoffman's ERA still sits at 4.50 in 48 innings pitched with 64 strikeouts and 26 saves.
The good news is that Fluharty was able to enter the game and get things done for the Blue Jays who won the game 5-4.
