Toronto Blue Jays fans stunned as Trey Yesavage makes history
Toronto Blue Jays rookie pitcher Trey Yesavage pitched in his very first MLB playoff game today and ended up making history with his performance.
Leading up to the game, Yesavage told reporters that he was ready for game 2 and that he was built for these type of games.

The Blue Jays took a risk starting such a young pitcher in game 2 of the ALDS but Yesavage made sure to make the organization look very good with this decision.
Yesavage ended up pitching a total of 5.1 inning before getting taken out of the game with zero runs allowed, 11 strikeouts and 18 whiffs with only 1 walk allowed which came in the first inning.

The Blue Jays rookie ace ended up making Blue Jays history this afternoon against the stacked Yankees as his 11 strikeouts is the most in a single post-season game by any Blue Jay pitcher.
Yesavage only made his MLB debut in September and began playing professional baseball this season which is why all of these numbers are even more spectacular.
When looking back at the 2024 MLB draft, it is incredible that the Blue Jays were able to pick Yesavage so late into the first round with how incredible he has been in his first season.
Shane Bieber takes the mound for game 3 and will certainly have quite a bit of pressure on him with how well Kevin Gausman and Yessavage pitched in the first two games.
