The Toronto Blue Jays finally announced a positive update regarding one of their injured pitchers in Max Scherzer as his MRI results have come in.

Scherzer was supposed to take the mound against the Baltimore Orioles today but was removed from the lineup a few days ago due to a thumb injury that he needed to have scans on.

The Blue Jays seemed to be quite worried about Scherzer's injury a few days ago but the results look to have relieved some of that stress according to manager John Schneider.
According to Schneider, Scherzer's MRI scans came back showing nothing too serious as he is already back to playing catch and will take the mound tomorrow against the Houston Astros..
Max Scherzer (right thumb) had an MRI and there was nothing serious found.

He's playing catch and will be back on a mound tomorrow or the next day. Good news for the #BlueJays
MLB reporter Hazel Mae also stated that Scherzer has dealt with thumb injuries in the past and the only fact that is slightly worrying is this is the first time that a thumb injury in nerve related.
Max Scherzer update:
He had an MRI on the sore right thumb, John Schneider said they're not majorly concerned.. he's definitely «dealt with this in years past.» but not related to the nerve issue from last season. #BlueJays
Hopefully everything goes well for Scherzer tomorrow on the mound against the Astros and he will be ready for Opening Day in a couple weeks as he is still considered one of the options to get the start against the Orioles.
