Toronto Blue Jays get frustrating injury update on Bo Bichette
The Toronto Blue Jays are hoping to get star Bo Bichette back soon but it looks like it will be later than expected according to teammate Isiah Kiner-Falefa.
Bichette was placed on IL with a knee sprain last week after an MRI revealed that his injury ended up being worse than originally expected.
Blue Jays might not get Bo Bichette back until mid October
Kiner-Falefa went on the Foul Territory podcast today and spoke on returning to Toronto a couple weeks back while also touching on Bichette's current injury and gave a very tough update.
According to Kiner-Falefa, Bichette is not expected to return to the lineup before late in the playoffs as he stated that the team will get the job done for him in the post-season to give a chance to return to the lineup.
IKF on Deep Left Field podcast on Bo Bichette: «We're going to try and get the job done for him, give him a chance to get healthy and hopefully we're playing long enough where he can try and make a comeback late in the postseason. But at the same time, you know, next man up.»
This in regards to Bo Bichette, IKF mentioning that he «hopes the Jays go deep in the postseason so that Bichette can come back» (paraphrased), does not sound great
Blue jays fans are not pleased with the update as they hoped that Bichette would be back before the end of the season and are now worried they will likely begin the playoffs without him.
Choosing not to let the IKF quote about Bo Bichette's injury dampen my mood on this team
Hopefully somehow Bichette is able to return earlier than this but it looks like the Blue Jays will have to figure out how to win playoffs games without him in the lineup.
