The Blue Jays posted on the Buffalo Bisons transaction list that they have decided to part ways with pitcher Luis Quinones as he has been released and is a free agent for the first time since he signed with the team back in 2019.
A dream coming true

Un sueno hecho realidad
Quinones has been with the Buffalo Bisons for the last 3 seasons in which he has struggled quite a bit which is why the Blue Jays likely decided to part ways with the pitcher.
In 2025, only played in 3 games which all came with the Florida Complex League Blue Jays after spending the majority of the season on IL before returning in July.
In 3 games, Quinones had a 8.10 ERA in 3.1 innings pitched across 3 games with a .150 WHIP and 6 strikeouts.
Despite the sample size being very small this season, Quinones has not had an ERA below 5.00 since 2021 when he split the season between High-A and Double -A, finishing with a 4.06 ERA.
It will be interesting to see if he is able to land himself a new deal between now and the start of next season since he has spent his entire professional career with the Blue Jays organization.
