The Toronto Blue Jays recently announce that pitcher Max Scherzer is set to make his first rehab start in the minors today which brought up an incredible story regarding the pitcher.

Scherzer has been out since his first game of the season dealing with a thumb injury and the Blue Jays recently announced that he is finally closing in on a return as he makes his first start in Triple-A tonight.

The Buffalo Bisons are set to take on the Columbus Clippers tonight and it will likely be a packed stadium at the ball park as Scherzer is expected to pitcher 60-65 pitches for the Bisons.

Due to all the hype surrounding Scherzer right now, a recent story came out from a few years back when Scherzer was in the minors of a rehab assignment and decided to go above and beyond for his fellow teammates.
Scherzer apparently put together a massive locker room feast filled with ribeye, lobster and filet mignon spending over $7000 on the meal on top of buying every players Airpods.

This story proves how Scherzer might be seen as a very intense pitcher on the mound but he clearly is an outstanding teammates as this one of many similar stories.
Hopefully for the Bisons players they are treated to a similar surprise after the game tonight.
