Kevin Gausman speaks on the Blue Jays letting go on Alek Manoah
Fans were shocked last night when the Blue Jays decided to let Manoah go as
Kevin Gausman on Manoah's DFA:
«I've become really close to Alek, and I love him even more as a human being than I do at pitcher. I know he's going to be fine, but I'm going to miss being around him.» #BlueJays

Clearly this was not an easy move for the Blue Jays, Manoah or Gausman as the two pitchers have spent 5 years together in Toronto and Gausman likely helped him quite a bit in his early years.
Manoah has yet to speak to the media regarding the roster move but he will likely be emotional when talking about it as it seems to be the end of his time in Toronto where he has spent his entire career so far.
A fresh start somewhere else might be exactly what Manoah needs to get back on track with his career as he is still quite young and could end up having many successful years in the MLB.
If he is able to turn things around elsewhere, Blue Jays fans will be sad to see it was not in Toronto that it happened but will be happy for him because he clearly gave everything he could to the Blue Jays.
