Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Max Scherzer speaks on his health and why he chose to sign in Toronto

The newest addition of the Toronto Blue Jays, Max Scherzer, spoke to the media for the first time today as part of the Blue Jays organization and made some reassuring comments.
The Blue Jays signed the 40 year old pitcher to a one year deal worth $15.5 million and while most fans were excited about the signing, some were worried about his health issue he has had over the last few season.

Scherzer is at the end of his career as he is set to turn 41 years old this season and stated that he decided to sign with the Blue Jays because he liked the win now mentality since that is what he is focused on this late in his career.
On why Toronto:

The former Cy Young winner then was asked about his health in which he said he feels great and has been working hard this off-season to get back into proper shape, feeling ready for the 2025 season.

Despite some fans being concerned of his health due to his list of injuries over the last two years, the fact that he has passed his physical before signing and stated that he feels great is definitely reassuring.
Hopefully Scherzer is able to find a bit of his old game and help lead the Blue Jays deep into the playoffs this season which would be a great change after a horrendous year in 2024.
