Toronto Blue Jays pitcher placed on the inactive list
Toronto Blue Jays newly signed pitcher Elieser Hernandez has been suprisingly placed on the team inactive list.
The Blue Jays announced in mid august that they signed Hernandez to a minor league deal after he was DFA'd and released by the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Blue Jays ended up signing Hernandez to a minor league deal back in August then assigned him to the Florida Complex League Blue Jays to start getting back into game shape.
The Toronto Blue Jays signed RHP Elieser Hernández to a minor league contract.
Then, the Blue Jays finally decided to bring him up to the Bisons at the beginning of the month of September but that did not last very long as he was only there for a total of 3 games.
The organization recently decided to place Hernandez on the inactive list but there has been no mention as to why the move was made.

Hernandez only spent a total of 3 games with the Bisons totaling 14.1 innings pitched which he finished with a 7.53 ERA, 10 strikeouts and a 1.33 WHIP in that time.
While these numbers are not great, the strange part in all of this is that the Blue Jays placed him on the inactive list instead of simply releasing him.
