The Toronto Blue Jays are still seen as the front runners to land Kyle Tucker but it looks like that might not be the case after all.

Many insiders believe that the Blue Jays are the front runners to land Tucker because other teams are not willing to offer him a long term deal which would exceed $400 million.
According to a recent report, most teams are willing to offer Tucker a short term deal but that is unfortunately not what he is in the market for.

Blue Jays could look to sign two players instead of Tucker

A recent report suggested that the Blue Jays would be better off taking all the money they would have spent on Tucker and splitting it between Bo Bichette and Cody Bellinger.
"«Missing out on Tucker would obviously sting, but he could have cost the Blue Jays north of $400 million in total value. Instead, they could sign both Bellinger and Bichette, solidifying their infield while also adding a superstar in the outfield. Bellinger slashed .272/.334/.480 last season and hit 29 home runs, the most he's hit in a season since his 2019 MVP campaign." -Aaliyan Mohammed

This move could make sense for the Blue Jays since they would be brigning back Bichette which would have fans extremely excited and they would be adding a solid outfielder in Bellinger.
On top of that signing Bichette to a 6 year $170 million deal and Bellinger to a 6 year $180 million deal would actually end up being cheaper for the Blue Jays than signing Tucker.
"Aaliyan Mohammed of Newsweek predicted the Blue Jays will pass on Tucker and instead re-sign Bichette to a six-year, $170 million deal while also signing Bellinger to a six-year, $180 million contract." -John Conahan

This is a very interesting option since it would give the Blue Jays some additional money to spend elsewhere while adding two all-stars to their lineup as they make another run for the World Series.
Tucker would also be a great add but would likely only come to Toronto on a long term deal which would cost north of $400 million.
