The Toronto Blue Jays are heading into 6 tonight in which they have a chance to win the World Series and the American media's reaction to their play has change quite a bit.

Heading into this series, no one thought the Blue Jays had a chance at all at winning this series as most panels and insiders saw the Dodgers as the favorites by a mile.

US media has changed their thoughts on the Blue Jays quite a bit

The Blue Jays could end up winning their first World Series since 1993 tonight which almost no one saw coming apart from their die hard fans who never doubted them for a second.
When looking at the US media, their turn around when it comes to their opinions on the Blue Jays has been quite remarkable as even Derek Jeter has changed his mind on Toronto.
Jeter admitted that coming into the World Series, everyone was focused on the Dodgers pitchers but in reality it has been all about the Blue Jays pitching so far.
«Coming into this series...the storyline was the Los Angeles Dodgers' pitching against the Jays. Well it's been the Jays' pitching that has stepped up and they've been the story up until this point.» -Jeter

Most, including Jeter, cannot get over how incredible rookie Trey Yesavage has been for Toronto, in which he stated that he could not get over how great he was in game 5 with 12 strikeouts in 7 innings.
«I thought it was impressive with what he did against the Yankees,» Jeter, who played for New York over 20 seasons, said to his MLB on Fox co-panelists after the game.

«This was even more impressive. Doing it in the World Series. On this stage. He's got poise, he's got confidence, but on top of all of that, he has great stuff. Like, he is nasty.» -Jeter

Alex Rodriguez on the other hand spoke about going from Single-A to the majors in one season which he has done, admitting that the adjustment is so big but added that to be playing in the World Series like that is a miracle.
«It's just a different level,» he said on the MLB on Fox panel. «The adjustment is just so big...and I don't think we're doing a good enough (job) articulating how hard it is. But trust me when I tell you, to be at this level in the World Series is nothing less than a miraculous performance.» -Rodriguez

The Blue Jays have certainly turned quite a few opinions over the last week or so with how well they have been playing.
