The Toronto Blue Jays have come back from the dead against the Seattle Mariners in the ALCS, winning both games in Seattle the series is now tied 2-2, guaranteed to head back to Toronto, and the U.S media has the Canadian team on their minds.
Toronto Blue Jays met with praise and criticism amidst ALCS comeback.
Phil Tsekouras of CP24 News spoke on Toronto Blue Jays win, there was a mix of good and a mix of bad when it came to the game, but at the end of the day the series is tied at 2 apiece.
"However, the rest appeared to be a blessing for the 41-year-old. David Ortiz (Boston Red Sox great and MLB on Fox panelist) commented on Scherzer's body language before the game, noting how he meticulously prepared for maybe the biggest start of his career and was seen warming up without a ball at one point."-Tsekouras
Max Scherzer was playing a solid game, but once again John Schneider pulled a pitcher earlier than expected. Scherzer was livid with the early pull and the media agreed with Scherzer's distaste.
"Speaking directly to hall of famer Derek Jeter after the game on the MLB on Fox broadcast, Scherzer said he told Schneider: «I wanted the ball and I basically told him that in a little bit different language.»-Scherzer
Max Scherzer now ranks fifth all-time in postseason strikeouts in MLB history after recording 5 strikeouts in 5 and 2/3 innings.
The Settle Mariners remain to be the only team in the MLB to have not played in a World Series.
