Toronto Blue Jays rival pitcher and starter for the Cleveland Guardians, Luis Ortiz, was placed on non-disciplinary leave by the MLB this morning as he is currently under investigation by the league.
The Blue Jays just beat the Guardians in a three game series last week in Cleveland as they outscored them 20-11 in the series and left with a 2-1 series win in a heated battle between the rivals.

The MLB announced this morning that starting pitcher Luis Ortiz has been placed on non-disciplinary paid leave through the all-star break as he is currently under investigation by the league.
Luis Ortiz, who was scheduled to start tonight against Chicago, has been placed on non-disciplinary paid leave through the end of the All-Star break due to an MLB investigation, the league announced.
The MLB has only announced that
Ortiz in under investigation but they have not specified the reasoning behind the leave just yet as details are expected to come out later in the day.
Cleveland Guardians right-hander Luis Ortiz is under investigation by Major League Baseball and has been placed on paid leave, according to a statement by the league. MLB did not release specifics of the investigation.
Ortiz was supposed to start tonight for the Guardians as they take on the Chicago Cubs but Cleveland has announced that they will have Joey Cantillo as their last minute replacement.

This is a tough situation for the Guardians who are now down a starting pitcher right before the all-star break.
