Toronto Blue Jays roster moves: Prospect Trey Yesavage gets called up in massive promotion
The Toronto Blue Jays announced this afternoon that top prospect Trey Yesavage has officially been called up to the Buffalo Bisons in Triple-A.
Yesavage has been incredible so far this season and it is no surprised that he has been promoted once again putting up a few incredible performances for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats.
Blue Jays promoted Trey Yesaavge to Triple-A
MLB reporter Keegan Matheson broke the news this afternoon that Yesavage has been officially called up Triple-A with the Buffalo Bisons from New Hampshire.
As @KeeganMatheson mentioned, Trey Yesavage is being promoted to triple-A Buffalo, two industry sources tell me.
Likely plan is for him to do a combo of starting and coming out of the bullpen, the way he did Thursday at New Hampshire when he struck out nine over five innings.

The plan regarding Yesavage is apparently to use him out of the bullpen in Triple-A at first then slowly move him into a starting role later down the line likely to get him used to the speed of the game.
Trey Yesavage is being transferred to the Bisons and is slated to pitch during the homestand.

Yesavage has been stellar so far this season as he has a 3.01 ERA across all minor leagues this season in 80.2 innings with 134 strikeouts.
However, Yesavage has been struggling in Double-A where his ERA is currently at 4.50 in 30 innings pitched but in his last start he seemed to be getting a lot more comfortable as he struck out 9 batters in 5 innings pitched.
It will be interesting to see how he performs in Triple-A.
