The Toronto Blue Jays had to part ways with pitcher Alex Manoah earlier this week to keep spots open on the roster, and the Atlanta Braves wasted no time in claiming him off waivers.
Alex Manoah was still in a rehab phase in triple-a when the Blue Jays decided to placed him on waivers.

Atlanta Braves waste no time in claiming Alex Manoah off waivers from Toronto Blue Jays.
Sportsnet among other accounts on X broke the news of the claim from the Braves, the decision was controversial amongst the fans but there is nothing that can be done now.

Alex Manoah has had a rollercoaster career to date, from being rookie of the year in the American League, to a finalist for the Cy Young, to the point where he is now, a change of scenery might be just what he needs to revitalize his career.

Manoah has been recovering from Tommy John surgery almost all season. Since his return he hasn't been too impressive in triple-A and it is probably why the Blue Jays have lost faith in his ability.
It will be interesting to see if the Blue Jays made the right call letting him go, or if Manoah will make them regret it, with a strong showing in Atlanta.
