Toronto Blue Jays superstar Vladimir Guerrero Jr had a chance to make MLB history last night hitting for the cycle but was stopped by Blue Jays third base coach.
Vladimir Guerrero Jr explains why he did not hit for the cycle
Guerrero had a chance to hit for the cycle if he pushed for second base but explain to Derek Jeter after the game that it was the Blue Jays third base coach that actually told him to stop at second.
«Next time blink and tell him you didn't see him»
@derekjeter
has some advice for Vladimir Guerrero Jr the next time he's a triple away from the cycle
Jeter told Guerrero that next time he should just blink and tell the third base coach that he did not see his sign to stop at second since Guerrero could have made history as the second player in MLB history to hit for the cycle in the playoffs.
Guerrero did defend his coach stating that he is pretty sure he was not aware that all he needed was a triple to accomplish this impressive feature which is why he told him to stop at second base.
While hitting for the cycle would have been quite the impressive moment for Guerrero's career, he clearly was not upset and was very happy with his performance after having a tough start to the series.
Hopefully Guerrero can shine once again tonight as the
Blue Jays look to even the series at two games a piece before the final game in Seattle tomorrow night.
