The Toronto Blue Jays were without Vladimir Guerrero Jr once again yesterday against the Miami Marlins and he spoke to reporters prior to the game regarding his injury .

Guerrero spoke to reporters yesterday regarding his injury stating that he took bating practice and ran at about 80% but added that he still has plenty to do before returning to the lineup.

Guerrero took BP on the field for the first time as well.
John Schneider said depending on how he feels after BP, could PH
«I still need to run the bases and take ground balls,» he told Sportsnet. «Today's the first day I've hit BP. It's going to be soon, but we've got to take it day by day.» -Guerrero
The Blue Jays superstar also stated that for him this injury is not negative, he sees it as nothing big and will follow the proper steps in his program to return when he is fully ready.
«For me, my mindset is fine,» said Guerrero Jr., who has 21 home runs and an .894 OPS this year. «Something happened for a reason. For me, it's nothing negative, it's nothing big. I feel good as of now, but like I said, I'll follow the program and when they tell me I'm ready, I'm ready.» -Guerrero
As the Blue Jays sit comfortably in first place of the AL East, they certainly should not rush things when it comes to Guerrero's recovery.
