The Toronto Blue Jays had Alek Manoah make his fifth rehab start in Buffalo Bisons in which he played well but was let down by his teammates.

Manoah was off to a rocky start in Triple-A but has since been playing much better as he got his first win in Triple-A in his last start as he finished with 3 strikeouts and only gave up 2 earned runs.

Alek Manoah let down by Bisons in his latest start

The Bisons took on the Syracuse Mets in a 10-0 loss yesterday in which Manoah was on the mound but he actually pitched well despite a rough finishing stat line.
Everything fell apart for Manoah in the fourth inning when multiple errors took place resulting in five earned runs being scored by the Mets.
"In what was Manoah's fifth outing of the season with the Bisons, the Syracuse Mets pushed across five unearned runs in the frame after a pair of errors unloaded the bases on a single play." -Sportsnet

Josh Kasevich overthrew an easy pitch to first base allowing a couple runs followed by another error with the ball coming back into play resulting in more runs scored.
"With two outs, Mets third baseman Luis De Los Santos hit a ground ball to third before calamity ensued. Josh Kasevich overthrew the bag at first base, allowing a pair of runs to score, but the ball got away again coming back to the infield, and Syracuse scored a third runner on the play." Sportsnet

Manoah pitched well overall despite a tough stat line as he finished with 5.2 innings pitched, giving up a total of six hits and seven runs but five of them were unearned.
As the Blue Jays come into the final stretch of the season, the chances that they bring up Manoah at this point seem very slim as it looks like it might be better to keep him in Triple-A until the end of the year.
On the other hand, starting pitcher Jose Berrios has been struggling and if Manoah is able to make the jump up to the majors this season, he could solve some big issues in their starting rotation.
