Blue Jays expected to get Anthony Santander back after Sunday
The Blue Jays had Santander in left field for the first time since his injury last nigth as it was announced that they want to get him 30-40 plate apperances before he returns to the Blue Jays lineup.
Anthony Santander will play left field tonight for the first time on his rehab assignment with the Buffalo Bisons. Plan is to play it again tomorrow.
Santander finally got a couple PA's batting right-handed and felt fine. Blue Jays are shooting to get him 30-40 PA's on rehab.
Santander did not end up having any plate apperances yesterday as they focus on giving him some much needed time in the outfielder where he spent 7 innings yesterday.
The Blue Jays are expected to have Santander in the outfielder once again today and that he will likely end up staying with the Bisons until the end of their season on Sunday.
Anthony Santander spent seven innings in left field with the Buffalo Bisons on Wednesday and didn't have a single ball hit his way. He'll play left again with Buffalo on Thursday.
Very likely he remains with Bisons through the end of their season on Sunday.
This means that the Blue Jays will be getting Santander probably back early next week which also means they will need to make a big decision regarding a roster move to clear space for him.
