The last update the Blue Jays announced on Santander stated that he had begun swinging a bat but they were still skeptical if he would be done for the season or not.

The Blue Jays announced today that Santander will likely begin his return to the lineup with the start of his rehab assignment with the Buffalo Bisons next Tuesday.
The plan is for Santander to join the Blue Jays in New York this weekend, then he will join the Bisons where he is expected to play at least five rehab games before returning.

Santander was far from what fans expected this season as he struggled at the plate in the small portion he played before hitting IL but if he can find his game once again, it could be a major factor for the Blue Jays going deep.
