Blue Jays clearly won trade with the Dodgers for Braydon Fisher
At the time the trade was completed, Biggio still had a ton of potential which is why the Dodgers wanted him meanwhile Fisher was seen as a solid pitcher but had a long road ahead before reaching the majors.
"That's what happened during the 2024 season, when the Blue Jays traded Cavan Biggio to the Dodgers in June in exchange for Fisher. When Biggio made his debut for the Blue Jays in 2019, he was looked at potentially being another key piece of that core for the Toronto's window of contention." -Sookram
No one really expected Fisher to be playing this well in 2025 but he has been one of the staples of the Blue Jays bullpen to the point where the Dodgers surely wished they still had him.
"There weren't many people picking Braydon Fisher as a breakout candidate for the 2025 Toronto Blue Jays bullpen, but six months into the season he's been one of the most consistent and reliable arms in the Toronto 'pen this year." -Sookram
So far this season, Fisher has a 2.27 ERA in 35.2 innings pitched with a 4-0 record, 47 strikeouts and a 0.90 WHIP.
The sample size on fisher is still very small but at the same time even if they only get one or two good seasons out of him, they clearly still won this trade as Biggio barely last 10 minutes with the Dodgers.
The Blue Jays close out their series against the Dodgers this afternoon as they look to get at least one win.
