The Toronto Blue Jays are still exploring the trade market despite not closing a deal just yet and could be moving 3 pitchers after their latest signing.
The first pitcher that has been rumored to be possibly traded this off-season is Jose Berrios who had a rough season last year and many believe that the Blue Jays will try to trade him but might have a difficult time due to his contract which still has $66 million on it.
He's got three years and $66 million left on his contract, but he also has an opt-out after 2027. Because of all that, it seems like a difficult deal to trade, unless an acquiring team wants to bring him in for 2026, start him, and risk losing him next offseason. -Farkas
Next there is Eric Lauer who is a free agent at the end of the 2026 season but he seems the least likely to be moved at least as of right now since he is currently in the bullpen and proved in the playoffs to be a great long relief pitcher.
He's a free agent at the end of the season, so the Blue Jays would be wise to at least listen to trade offers for him. Given his looming free agency - and that Berrios is likely the long-man in 2026, do the Jays really see the need to protect him at all costs? -Farkas
Finally there is Bowden Francis that still has a minor league option left on his deal but if the Blue Jays sent him down, that would likely bring down his trade value which is why it would be better to move him earlier rather than later.
He has a minor league option remaining, so the Jays can afford to stash him as depth in Triple-A, but if another team wants to use him at the big-league level, the Jays should also be willing to listen. -Farkas
Anyone of these pitchers would be great to help the Blue Jays land some much needed bullpen arms which is why there is a good chance one of them is traded this off-season.
