Ponce has been playing in Korea over the last few years in the KBO in which he was voted KBO MVP last season as he finished with a 17-1 record and a 1.89 ERA in 180.2 innings pitched.
During his time in the MLB, was mostly used out of the bullpen but since going overseas, Ponce has turned his game around and turned into a great starting pitcher.
The Blue Jays have yet to announce how they plan on using him but there is certainly a possibility for him to jump into the starting rotation.
