The Blue Jays made a big splash in the free agent market last night as they locked up Dylan Cease to a 7 year $210 million contract.

GM Ross Atkins has had a busy last few days as the Blue Jays started off the winter quite slowly but have been picking up the pace as of lately with a few signings.
The Blue Jays announced this morning that they have agreed to a minor league deal with Andrews.

Last season, Andrews played Double-A with the Wichita Winds which is the Twins minor league affiliate team as he finished with a solid 3.78 ERA in 16.2 innings pitched with 18 strikeouts.
Andrews has yet to see any time in the MLB but has played in Triple-A back in 2023 and 2024 as both seasons he finished with an ERA above 5.00.
This seems to be another solid depth signing for the Blue Jays which will help improve their minor league system which has been a goal they have working on over the last couple years.
The Blue Jays are looking to improve their MLB roster in hopes of returning to the World Series next season but it seems that a clear goal for Atkins is to also improve their farm system which has been pretty rough over the last few years.
As the holidays approach, the Blue Jays seem to be pushing hard to get more deals done before the New Year.
