The Toronto Blue Jays announce some very interesting news regarding Bo Bichette this morning as he was seen practicing at a new position yesterday.

Some have stated recently that the Blue Jays might be better off without Bichette in their lineup for the World Series since it would cause some big changes in their lineup if they brought him back in.

The Blue Jays need to put together their World Series roster by tomorrow morning and it looks like there is a good chance that Bichette is on it as he has stated that he is doing much better but there still might be some interesting changes made.
Bichette was spotted taking ground balls at second base yesterday which is a position he has never played before at the major league level.

Most expect Bichette to be on the Blue Jays roster for the World Series but no on is sure to what extent the team will end up using him.
After the Toronto Blue Jays' ALCS win Monday, Bichette said he'd be ready to play in the World Series, though the extent of his availability remains unknown. -Nicholson-Smith

Andres Gimenez has been playing shortstop for the Jays in the playoffs and has been incredible defensively which is likely why the Blue Jays are testing out Bichette at second base right now.
The interesting part in all of this is that Bichette has not played second base since his time in the minors.
A lifelong shortstop, Bichette did play a total of 30 games at second base while coming up through the Blue Jays' minor-league system, but he hasn't appeared there at any level since 2019, when he played second once at triple-A. -Nicholson-Smith

Bichette has still to run the bases at full speed which is what kept him off the ALCS roster but most believe that things will go better this time around.
