Martinez recently made headlines as he spoke on his future with the team as he stated that he has been having a lot of fun since returning and does not plan on going anywhere any time soon.

The Blue Jays have by far surpassed expectations this season as no one expected them to make the playoffs let alone be in the ALCS this season.
A big part of the Blue Jays success season has been thanks to Schneider who has done a phenomenal job and Martinez made sure to point that out during his interview.

Even the Blue Jays officially social media account posted a picture of Schneider this morning stating that he should be American League manager of the year.

Schneider is certainly putting up a good case for being named manager of the year with the Blue Jays making it to the ALCS and the fact that Toronto won the American League East division.
The Blue Jays players and the staff that surrounds them have praised Schneider quite a bit this season proving that he has clearly done a great job and that he deserves to at least be a finalist for manager of the year.
